Liptovsky Mikulas
Liptovsky Mikulas is situated in the middle of Liptovska Valley.
There are a few interesting sights including:
- Church of St. Nicolaus
- Church and cloister of the Franciscans
- Evangelic church
- Roman-Catholic church of St. Mikuláš from 13th century
- The Synagogue
- The Slovak Museum of 'Nature Protection'
- The Liptov Museum. The Uprising Museum
- The Museum of Janko Kral’ (with an exhibition dedicated to Juraj Janosik, who was executed in the town in 1713)
- Peter M. Bohun Art Gallery
- County Council House
- Statues of Juraj Tranovský and Michal Miloslav Hodža.
There is also an aquapark ‘Tatralandia’ in Liptovsky Mikulas.
